About MSP 2007:

The Operational Research Society of India, Ahmedabad Chapter in collaboration with the Production and Quantitative Method Areas of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is pleased to announce the Second National Conference on Management Science and Practice during March 9-11, 2007. This conference is dedicated to the memory of S.K. Srinivasan,Professor Emeritus, Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. The purpose of this Conference is to provide an opportunity for scholars working in the broad area of applied management science to present and share their work. It is hoped such Conferences would promote interaction among industry and academia. Often, such interactions lead to new and challenging research areas. The Conference would consist of several invited presentations, plenary sessions, invited tutorials and contributed papers. The Conference is open to academicians and practitioners working in the broad area of applied management science.

Contributed papers are invited for this Conference in the broad area of management science with a clear focus on application. Ideally, the presentation should focus on an important practical problem or discuss a methodology which has relevant and meaningful application in real life. We seek contributions from industry emphasizing an application with appropriate academic rigor. It is planned to bring out a reviewed printed volume of the papers presented in the conference. This Conference is scheduled to begin on March 9, 2007 - 09.30 a.m. and will end on March 11, 2007 - 3.30 p.m. The registered participants would have access to the conference proceedings and publication, lunches and dinners during the conference. Dormitory accommodation would be reserved for registered participants on a payment basis on IIT campus on a first cum first serve basis.
